Arvind Srinivas, cofounder and CEO of Perplexity, announced the plans on X. “Perplexity’s Finance dashboard now supports live earnings calls transcriptions and features earnings calls schedules for Indian stocks. We hope to add a lot more value to Indian equity markets research in the coming days! Enjoy!” his post read.
This comes after the US-based AI company launched free access to financial data on Indian stock exchanges and all listed companies through its Finance tab. The goal is to make primary market information more accessible for investors, analysts, and market participants in India.
Companies provide details on performance and outlook, often followed by questions from analysts during earnings calls. By introducing live transcriptions and a centralised calendar for results, Perplexity aims to streamline the process of monitoring corporate results.
The company has been doubling down on its India-focused businesses. It recently partnered with telecom company Airtel to provide its AI-powered search engine Perplexity Pro free of cost to around 360 million Airtel users.
